1. Individual Challenge (Default)
By default, the step challenge is a competition between your app members. The leaderboard is organized by the average number of steps per member. When you create a Reaction Club account, a weekly step challenge is automatically activated, allowing you to test the platform (we recommend inviting 3+ members). The challenge starts on Monday at 00:01, and the winners are announced automatically at the end of the week based on their total steps.
How to Use the Individual Challenge:
- Create a Reaction Club account.
- Invite 3+ members to test the challenge.
- Click “Customize the Challenge.”
If you are organizing a charity fundraising challenge where your organization needs to collaborate to reach a common goal or want to motivate employees to reach a daily goal like 10,000 steps per day, you can set this up through the admin dashboard. By default, Reaction Club generates a smart goal, which means the app calculates a challenge based on the number of users, their average step count, and your challenge duration. This creates a goal that is motivating but not too difficult to achieve. You can track the challenge goal on the map tab and see the team’s progress both in the app and on the admin dashboard. read more
How to Set Up a Goal-Based Challenge:
- Log in to your Reaction Club admin dashboard.
- Click “View More” on the step challenge widget and scroll to the map.
- Click “Edit” next to the goal and adjust it based on your needs.
3. Charity Fundraiser
To simplify creating a fundraiser, Reaction Club allows you to replace gift cards in the rewards section with donations. Employees can exchange their points for donations, and you can set a budget for these donations. Reaction Club will manage the number and value of donations to ensure most employees can redeem points for a cause.
How to Set Up a Charity Fundraiser:
- Create a Reaction Club app account.
- Contact the Reaction Club team at hello@reaction-club.com to set up your donations.
4. Team Competition
In addition to the individual challenge, you can create a competition between teams within your organization. You can decide whether employees select their teams or if you will divide them into teams using the team settings. You can also set a maximum number of employees per team.
How to Get Started with Teams:
- Visit your admin dashboard.
- Click on “Members & Teams.”
- Select “Teams” and manage your teams.
5. Inclusive Challenge (Points)
To make your challenge inclusive for everyone on your team, you can use the points leaderboard. Employees earn points by reaching their daily step goal or manually adding activity. Points are also earned for social engagement, such as posting photos on the feed and supporting colleagues. This mode ensures all participants have an equal chance to win, regardless of their fitness level.
How to Use the Points Leaderboard:
- Invite 9+ people to your challenge.
- On your home screen, scroll the member’s widget to the left to access the leaderboard.
What’s great about Reaction Club is that you can activate all the modes together, just some, or choose only one. It provides you with full flexibility to customize the step challenge app according to your needs.
